Ellaroo Padded Baby Sling Testimonials

"I started with the wraps and reluctantly fell in love with the er padded sling. I used an unpadded pouch with my older daughter (until I discovered wraps at 18 months) who was quite heavy so I found the padding on the shoulder very comfy. I loved the light padding on the rails for preventing red marks on baby's legs and I also found it comfy on my back. For learning to nurse, I find the er sling better than no padding, better than the heavily padded styles, much easier to learn to use.
The open tail is wonderful too. I teach babywearing and find myself seeing so many advantages to this sling just the way it is. Nursing in it is wonderful with little babies and I have actually been able to teach moms to nurse newborns hands-free even though I couldn't do that with my first child." - Ellen
"Anyway, just wanted to say that I love the lightly padded sling! I use it all the time with my 20-month old and it is very comfortable. I used to use unpadded slings when he was smaller but they are not nearly as comfortable to me anymore as the lightly padded sling. I love the way the shoulder distributes his weight. I definetly recommend these slings to parents with toddlers!" - Jennifer
"i just received the slings today and i love them!! we ordered a dark green for me and it´s just gorgeous! it´s extremely comfortable and I think my son loves it too (he prefers padded slings :-))." - Sisse G.
"I just got my Ellaroo sling yesterday, and I can't believe how much I love it! I was convinced that I didn't need a padded sling, and having only seen/tried (heavily padded slings), my expectations were pretty low. But this sling is nothing like any other padded sling I've ever seen. The fabric is just gorgeous (I got the red) and it really is one of the most comfortable ring slings I've ever used." - Melanie M.
"I love the shoulder of this sling because it doesn't look padded to other people but I think the padding adds to the comfort on my shoulder." - Deb G.
"I really love this sling. First, the fabric is just as beautiful IRL as it is in the photos. The fabric is light and breathable, very soft, and not nearly as prone to wrinkling as some of the non-woven sling fabrics I've used. The padding is perfect-very light. I don't usually wear slings with padding. It's hot here in Albuquerque about 8 months out of the year so I usually just feel like I'm wearing a comforter in a padded sling, but not in this one. The shoulder pad is nice and functions almost as much to help keep the shoulder in place as to cushion it. The padded rails are nice, too. My son likes to wear the sling VERY tight-so tight that he often gets red marks on the back of his neck from the top rail (I know, I know. I never said he was a regular baby!). This is much softer on his neck and the backs of his knees. I don't worry too much usually about all his red marks; he has red hair and is super fair so he gets them easy, but it's nice to see him without them.
The shoulder design is awesome. It stays in place 100% of the time; I never have to pull it down to get it off my neck. It has a very generous width. There's plenty of fabric for kangaroo-ing a toddler, and when Carter has fallen asleep in a hip carry, I have enough fabric to pull up over his head. I also never thought I'd like a closed-tail sling. I really love the adjustability of open-tail, unpadded slings. This one still has independently adjustable rails, though, and I've learned to like the closed tail because it makes the sling must quicker and easier to thread." - Adrienne J.
